Guys,

What's with all ye Steve Voce disciples?! What's your major avertion to
banjos?! 
Same as any other instrument the banjo has it's place in jazz.
Would the original "East St. Louis Toodle Oo"'s by Ellington or any other of
his records from the 1920's have sounded right minus Freddy Guy's percussive
strumming?
I doubt it very much. What about the Original Dixieland Jug Blowers? Nope.
