Dear liberal friend Bill--

Let's remember one thing clearly. Lu Watters was a liberal activist--you might
call him a radical--as he fought and WON against the Nuclear (pronounced
Noo-clur in Washington)Energy plant at Bodega Bay.

He and Dave Pesonen mounted a terrific fight. Even when his chops were gone
they put out the word that Lu would be at the Bodega site to blow. And he
did--he blew up balloons and sent them out with messages warning people that
if found they would be in the path of released radiation.

As a fellow radical, one of my greatest experiences was going to a Bodega Bay
benefit at Earthquake Magoon's in 65 to hear Lu play with Turk's band.

Let's also understand from Gary Giddins book on "Bing Crosby: The early years"
that jazz was originally associated with radical actions, particular the
Bolsheviks (sp?)so right on Lu.

What an archetype!!
