Hello all

Is there a thread (pun intended) on short dresses in jazz?

I'll start - House Rent Rag, from the Dixieland Jug Blowers and Johnny
Dodds, Chicago, 11 December 1926.

Earl McDonald's "sermon" on "short skirts, but oh how sweet" is hilarious -
"they're trying to make the skirts catch-up with the bobbed hair".
(Response - "don't miss it brother!").

Because of the long spoken intro, the record is the least known of the
Dodds/DJB collaboration. The music is magnificent.

>From the cutting edge
