Oh dear!  Pat, you must not be very familiar with one of America's most 
beloved poets, Ogden Nash.

Here is but one of his short poems:

     The Firefly's Flame

The Firefly's flame
Is something for which science has no name.
I can think of nothing eerier
Than flying around with an unidentified glow on one's posterior.

Does this not tug at your heart?  I always choke up when I read Nash.
