Hi Jim,
a fiddle player with whom I used to work used to employ George for his band
in London when ,as he puts it, `I couldn`t get my regular pianist.` George
could never play real music, only a lot of chocolate box stuff.`
The story goes that after a gig they would go to Lyons Corner House where
George would always order something which included beans.
The picture of George in his dark glasses chasing an errant bean around his
plate always enlivened the evening.
