[Dixielandjazz] Pentatonic Scales

Perhaps pentatonic scales need a little more explaining. For example:

C Major Pentatonic Scale
is  C D E G A C and the chord is C E G B

C7 Dominant Pentatonic Scale
is C D E G A C but the chord  becomes C E G Bb D

C or C7 Minor Pentatonic Scale
is C Eb F G Bb C and the chord is C Eb G Bb D

And so on through the keys so that basically the scale steps are:

Major and Dominant 7th Pentatonic W W -3 W -3

Minor Pentatonic -3 W W -3 W

Both black and white keys are involved, sometimes integrated depending
upon the key and both contribute mightily to the music. ;-)
