Dear Tom and all.
I have the Prince's Band version of "St Louis Blues" (NY. 18 Dec 1915).
Playing it now.
It is orchestrated ragtime.
Nothing to suggest the 'ODJB' or 'jazz' in its performance.
The same applies to their versions of "Hesitation Blues", Kansas City Blues",
"Nigger Blues" and "Joe Turner Blues" (all 1916).
