If you are a union musician in the US liability insurance is available
through a negotiated group contract, I believe with Seabury & Smith. Your
$300 would likely get you quite a bit more protection than the $300,000 you
cited through your homeowners' policy. Frankly, the access to inexpensive
specialty insurance programs specific to band activities and instrument
insurance is the primary reason I am a union member today.
