Larry Swain wrote about Liberace:

"He was in fact extraordinary, and that got lost in the glitz and
glitter."

Not too different from Louis Prima who was an "extraordinary" New
Orleans Jazz trumpet player before stamping his own take on "glitz and
glitter" in the raucous entertainment world of Las Vegas, with Keely
Smith and Sam Butera.
