I just finished listening on headphones to:
"Oh play that thing!" 20 tracks of King Oliver's 1923 classics.

Available from Jerry Brown for about US$7.00 plus postage.

Very nicely cleaned up (but only to the extent that no music is lost and no
"artifacts" are introduced) so I felt no irritation factor.

Also check out the "Nostalgia" series, that has non-jazz OKOM.

If you wanna try Oliver out, you can't do better than this CD.
