I stand corrected Jim - of course it was JACK Delaney on trombone.  Pee Wee
was a featured guest on the clarinet - he might have been a teenager back
then.  I don't recall Costa being the regular though.  When I wasn't in N.
O. I listened to those WWL broadcasts of the day's events  at the Parisian -
Dick Martin (a great voice) was the announcer.

WWL also had the weekly N. O. Jazz Society program on in those days - an
hour usually featuring a particular band or a certain musician.  I'd listen
to it with my Charles Delaunay "New Hot Discography" at hand, annotating in
the margins as each classic jazz piece was played.  You'll probably remember
that the theme song of the program was the Johnny Wigg band's "Congo
Square" - dum dum dum, dum dum dum, etc.
