Christopher Cross (as he is most widely known) was an obscure lounge
rock'n'roll singer/songwriter who scuffled for many years before being
discovered (I think) in his late 30's/early 40's. He literally went from
singing to 30 people one month and singing in front of thousands at sold out
concerts the next. His first big hit was massive and is still played every
day on Adult Contemporary/Easy listening stations across the country: "Ride
Like The Wind".

I seem to remember that EVERY cut on his debut album became a hit (the cover
had a pink flamingo on it as I remember). He struck gold again soon after by
composing and performing the theme to the first or second Arthur movie
(Dudley Moore. Liza Manelli and Joh Geilgud(sp)): I think it was called
"Arthur's Theme ("...caught between the moon and New York City." He then
disappeared as quick as he came.

He wrote good tunes that sold millions. Don't know what he's doing now.
