Many musicians have no problem forgetting that they are professionals, I

What utter rubbish. Many musicians would be perfectly willing to donate

Well, you have proved my point. You are not really interested in exposing
kids to good jazz as an educational function as you presented this, but in
fact you are using this ploy to drum up some paid gigs. There is nothing
inherently wrong with this but be honest about it.
