Over the years I've heard quite a bit of rock & roll and I always got a hoot
out of those choruses where the lead guitar guy would take an extra long
chorus while the rhythm dudes kept playing the same riff on the same chord
for a couple of hundred bars. The guitar lead could play way up and down the
neck and do dazzling stuff but he's only working the same scale throughout
the entire chorus. Finally he'll play a segue into the out chorus and the
whole band goes back to the regular three chord progression and out.
Those bands have made a lot of money and with the Chord Averaging system I
don't see why we can't make a lot of money too!! :-)
