I suppose this thread will soon expire and we will get back to OKOM. But
before it goes, I add 2 cents worth.
All wars seem to be fought because two or more strong leaders with big
egos get into a pissing contest, They whip up their respective
populations to a killing frenzy through artful propaganda. Then the hoi
polloi fight each other, get killed and don't even know why.

Later on, "historians" write about it and assign all sorts of morality
as to why the wars were fought. Mostly BS.

Musical relevance? Revisionist history is a curse that also extends to
OKOM and it is wise to bear in mind what someone else posted. (I forget
who) Something like "every writer has an agenda in mind that colors
his/her writing." It would therefore seem important to look beyond the
printed word.

As for our genius leaders? And genius musicians? Wise to remember that
there is a very thin line between genius and madness.

Cheers,
Steve Barbone
