If you have some rare items, that's probably cool, but the non-rarities
would be better in a smaller institution because LoC and presumably
Smithsonian would not keep most duplicates. Accessability at LoC means
making an appointment to hear specific items, and they play them for
you--you're at a console listening on headphones; the records are not
loaned out as they might be in smaller institutions...Dunno about Smithsonian.
