He may not be OKOM but a tuba player that IMO all other tubists should
listen to, is Howard Johnson. He has put some great stuff down on
records for 40 years, is an absolute master of the instrument, and often
plays it in the upper registers where angels and most other ubists fear
to tread. Or at high speeds that blow most of us away. Or with a
poignancy that brings tears to one's eyes.
