Hi Jim,

There was until very recently an excellent trumpeter named Kenny Baker who
was possibly one of the best players this country has produced. He died
earlier this year after a long and very distinguished career going back to
the end of the war. The "Kenny Baker's Dozen" are legendary and some
excellent recordings from the 1950s have just been released on a super CD on
the Jasmine label. His earlier stuff with the Ted Heath Orchestra and others
is available on a Hep CD and there others available. Towards the end of his
life he was appearing with an all-star group which toured all over the
country and went under the title of 'The Best of British'.

Hope this clarifies things.

Cheers,

Jerry,
