They take up too much space. You can get a hundred CDs in one album and you 
don't have to photocopy a whole LP jacket, only the part that lists the tunes 
and the players. Then you put that in a loose-leaf binder using alphanumeric 
indexing.

If you have a 300-CD juke box (like Pioneer's or Sony's) the CDs store there 
and are ready to play at the touch of a button -- instead of the album. If 
you want to take some traveling, take the selected CDs out of the big album 
or juke box and put them in a small traveling album without any books. Just 
leaf through the album and pick out what you want to play -- the CD has a 
label or you have identified it with ink.
