Richard asked:
Does standing up create a better impression than seated? What's the
rule?

I always get the feeling a band that has the brass sitting down is
trying to imitate those earlier pictures we've always seen of the first
bands. However, if a band wants to sit down, so what?
If it works for 'em, it's good. Sitting down, for a brass man, can be a
good thing sometimes. You can "squeeze" things out that are harder to
do when standing....specially if you're a bit tired. However, you
should have the muscle thing down good enough to control all of that no
matter what position you're in.

I sometimes will sit on a stool, if one is nearby, for a blues. Dunno,
a blues solo works real good sitting down. Now then, sitting STILL?
Never. If the bottom doesn't move, it just do not swing. Now...THERE'S
A NEW SUBJECT TITLE! :>
