Listmates,
   If you want to know the World OKOM potential just check with any of the
MAJOR CD producers see what the percentage of genres of CDs are sold, i.e.
rock, rap country, latin, pop and so on.
   Figure that the average person buys maybe 3 or 4 CDs a year. Divide the
total CDs sold per year by 3.5 and you come up with two conclusions. The
first being that there are not that many OKOM CDs being sold and second that
the late teens/early 20's are the ones who buy most of all CDs made.
   All the people I've talked to who sell their recordings along side the
band gigs have told me they would starve to death if they had to depend on
recording sales to survive.
   The market is there. The target group just has to be made to feel that
it's cool and they discovered it. Every jazz generation for the last hundred
years has felt that way!
