As well as one of the founders of the Boogie Woogie movement with the likes 
of Jimmy Yancey, Pine-Top Smith, Cow Cow Davenport etc. my book says that 
Cripple Clarence was a fine tap dancer. Born in 1896 he played around the 
Chicago area before WWII even having his own club for a while. Forced into 
retirement after the war by the changing tastes in music he died in 1957. A 
fine player.
