Yes, Bill.  Perfectly correct.  But, not correct to what your British
friend was referring to. 
In Britain, a pantomime is........(see earlier post!).

Anyway, there is very little jazz in pantomime, although the American
equivalent may have a jazz backing to it (the melodrama).
