Shalom Jazz Fans,

I was one of several players this evening at a small musical gathering in the name of the peace of Jerusalem. These free monthly
concerts/jams are attended by an interesting array of players, instruments, nationalities, religions and also audiences. They are
"broadcast" outside by an extra speaker. In the middle of my spot, a lady walks in and says she was surprised to hear a banjo in
Jerusalem. She introduces herself as the widow of Bob Gibson. I think she said her name was Peggy. I did not recognize the name, and
even though I play a Gibson banjo I somehow suspected that was not the connection to make. She said he was big in the US folk music
scene and wrote some famous songs, and rattled off a couple names that didn't sound like OKOM. She didn't stay, so I had no further
chance to talk to her. But I did give her a card.

Can anyone help me out? Should I have heard of Bob Gibson? Did he design my Mastertone or anything like that? She didn't look that
old, so I suppose he wasn't either.

I myself got a late start in the jazz scene, having only been born in 1952. I've spent my life trying to learn the repertoire, and
have not had a lot of time to learn the history and players, except in general.
