That's the guy Bill - does nothing ever stump you?!! Those were happy days -
unfortunately one Thursday on my way to The Greyhound I had a serious
motorbike crash, by the time I came out of hospital Kenny's band had hit
the pop charts bigtime and ended their Chadwell Heath pub residency to go on
to glory. Many years later he auditioned me
for the piano chair when Ron Weatherburn became too ill too continue, but by
then I was married with kids and a mortgage and fearful of risking all
by turning pro, so I declined. Ex-schoolteacher Duncan Swift - a brilliant
pianist -
took the job instead, sadly cancer claimed him a while back.
