[Dixielandjazz] Cornet/Trumpet

Yes, Bob, it's a 1938 Conn Victor large bore cornet, serial number 322975,
sold to me by Chris Tyle, who bought it from Max's widow in 1995, together
with a letter signed by her certifying its genuineness..

Of course, it may not be the one he was playing in 1938 - he could have
found it in a junk shop and bought it because it reminded him of the horn he
used to own.  But until someone proves otherwise I'd like to think it was
the horn used on the 1939 and 1940 Lee Wiley sessions.
