Bob Ringwald asked me who that reed man was on the Praire Home Companion last
week. That Was Franz Jackson, 90 years old and still going strong. The PHC
was doing the show from Chicago and had two outstanding 90 year olds on that
show, Franz Jackson and Studs Terkel.
Franz has put away his clarinet but still swings out on tenor sax as he
played and sang a swinging "Sunnyside of the Street."
