Dear Don,
Fats, pipe organ on "I Believe in Miracles" (5 Jan 1935).
Many thanks, I had completely forgotten that one!
Am playing it now.
Which set me off, trying to recall other 1930s-1940s organ things by Fats.
I gave up after remembering the English sides, Lee Wiley and "Jitterbug Waltz",
so checked the books.
Here is what I finished up with:
5 Jan 1935 "Night Wind'.
21 Aug 1938 (London, Eng.) "Don't Try Your Jive On Me/Ain't Misbehavin"
28 Aug 1938 (London, Eng.) "Swing Low sweet Chariot/All God's Chillun Got
Wings/Go Down Moses/Deep River/Water Boy"
ditto with Adelaide Hall. "That Old Feeling/I Can't Give You Anything But
Love".
12 June 1939 (London, Eng.) "Smoke dreams Of You/You Can't Have Your Cake And
Eat It".
15 Nov 1939 with Lee Wiley. Someone To Watch Over Me".
20 Nov 1939. Some of the Lang-Worth transcriptions titles. Check the recent Solo
Art SACD-21.
12 Jan 1940. "Swinga-Dilla Street/The Moon Is Low".
2 Jan 1941. "Mamacita/Pantin in the Panther Room/Come Down to Earth My Angel/I
Repent".
20 March 1941. "Let's Get Away With It All".
1 Oct 1941. "Clarinet Marmalade".
16 March 1942. "Jitterbug Waltz".
16 Sept 1943. The V-Disc session.
I wish I hadn't started that!

Kind regards,
Bill.
