The Devil Mountain Jazz Band continues to develop their multi-style
approach toward preserving the popular music of the late 1800's through
the early 1930's and west coast revival of the 1940's. They're best
known for the two trumpet sounds of the Joe "King" Oliver and Lu
Watters bands and the orchestrated "hot dance" music of the late
twenties. You'll also hear DMJB perform ragtime, blues, Dixieland
standards, gospel and novelty tunes, and an occasional duck call by
Pete Main!

The musicians of the Devil Mountain Jazz Band include:

Ken Keeler, Leader, on Banjo
Frank Davis on Cornet
Noel Weidkamp on Cornet
Jim Maihack on Trombone
Pete Main on Clarinet and Sax
Keith Baltz on Tuba
Virginia Tichener on Piano
Allan Grissette on Drums

Spacious Dance Floor. The Elks has Food and a full bar.

One month later, NVDJS will feature Fog City Stompers Jazz Band on
Sunday, October 13, 2002 from 1-5 PM at the same location.
