Good on ya' girl!

Obviously the jazz fans are coming to true JAZZ FESTIVALS.

A different world, a different marketed targeted crowd.

What the pop market needs is pop material that is truly musical in a
dixie vein, but not in a cliche' way. Not easy to get that across to a
dyed in the wool jazz player, because it could be interpreted as selling
out. But it's for the cause, right?
Oh, G. William O. By the way; When I was with the Hot Frogs, I
adapted Willie Nelsons' "Night Life" to a 'Dixie' jazzish'' blues
format. ( Which is on the Frogs "Hollywood" album. ) It worked.
Willie has done some great things with pop standards using a country
background. But to justify all the "Headliners" at that festival as
being jazzer's, is definitely out of place.
Ahhhhh, for the good ol' days on the Goldenrod.
