I would like to mention Henning Hoehne, who plays
here in the Washington DC area. He plays Tuesday
nights with the Federal Jazz Commission
(www.FederalJazzCommission.com), which played
recently at the Bix Festival) and subs with Buck Creek Jazz Band,
and plays in his own trio every first Thursday of each month
at the 219 Club (also called Basin St. Lounge) at 219 King St,
Olde Towne, Alexandria, VA. Henning is purely phenomenal on
clarinet and also has been described to me as one of the finest
bari sax players in the world. You can order CDs from Fed Jazz Commiss
at www.FederalJazzCommission.com, but I'm not sure if Henning is on
them. Check them out.

BTW, Bob R, Henning and the rest of Federal Jazz Commission
saw you at the Bix fest and was duly impressed, even though you
missed seeing -- oops! hearing -- them.
