THE SAINTS COME MARCHING IN.
For an unforgettable evening of fire, passion and fun, come witness the
red-hot SAINTS OF SWING storm the Colony Cafe in Woodstock on Sunday, August
4 from 8-11 p.m.
The SAINTS OF SWING, a seven-piece band featuring vocalist Miss Rene
Bailey, are an extraordinary collective of some of the area's finest
musicians, specializing in eclectic selections of sizzling swing, spicy New
Orleans-style Dixieland, down-and-dirty blues and even foot-stompin'
Gospel... tantalizing tuba licks included.
The SAINTS are co-lead by David Winograd on tuba/bass and Mike Rosler on
trumpet/vocals. Other regulars of the ensemble include Dale DeMarco on
reeds, Mike Kull, piano, Gene Randolph, drums, and Ken Foy, trombone.
The incomparable vocalist Miss Rene Bailey, who performed with such
greats as Louis Armstrong, B.B. King, Sam Cooke, Aretha Franklin, and Peg
Leg Bates, can blow down the house without a microphone.
