This concert was put on by the local city hall of Guadarrama, a town that sits on the foothills of a range of mountains near Madrid, Spain (Madrid being where I live!). Our band, Canal Street Jazz Band …now in our 55<sup>th</sup> year of continuous playing, was invited to play in this lovely town square, and I thought it might be entertaining for some of you to have a small view of what this sort of summer concert can be like in Spain. Yes, it was hot! Yes, there were the requisite small children who couldn’t sit still, etc., but overall it was a nice evening.
