Carnegie Hall Concert.<br>
It was in the 1950's. <br>
The concert included Afro Cuban tunes, Machito, and something featuring <br>
the above mentioned guitarist. <br>
In my early years Stan Kenton and Pete Rugolo were my favorites<br>
in the realm of big bands. I have somewhere Kenton on 78's, 10 inch Lp's<br>
and many 12' Lp's, and 16" Langworth transcriptions. <br>
<br>
For those Kenton aficionados, something it took me a while to figure out.<br>
Artistry In Rhythm, Artistry Jumps, Artistry For Strings, ad nauseum:<br>
Royalties aside, Stan was writing variations On A Theme!<br>

Dixieland content: It was my great privilege and honor to play with <br>
Charlie Shavers, Sol Yaged, Andy Napoleon and other <br>
swinging New York musicians.<br>
