<div dir="ltr">Sorry to report  the passing of the world traveller and ambassador of traditional jazz Mr. Jim Beatty.  Jim was a native of Jamestown, N. Y. and carried his clarinet to places in America and the world for seventy years.  Jim was a bandleader, sideman, record producer, family man, husband and parent and loyal friend.  He introduced many to dixieland, ragtime, blues and was unselfish, generous, honest and trustworthy.  A resident of 0regon he will be missed by many in the world of jazz.  <div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Pete Pepke</div></div>
