Just about every rock and hiphop band in recent times has taken " stand up and dance around" to absurd dimensions. All that motion and energy, and musically, nothing's happening (typically). Bore, bore, bore. Thankfully, the tradition is Country & Western music, like jazz, is mainly on expressiveness and not calisthenics. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Charles</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div><blockquote type="cite" class=""><div class="">On Feb 15, 2019, at 1:26 AM, domitype and Associates <<a href="mailto:domitype@gmail.com" class="">domitype@gmail.com</a>> wrote:</div><br class="Apple-interchange-newline"><div class=""><br class="">If you are young and energetic and that is what you want to project, stand up and dance around! I remember a gig where I was subbing with this New Orleans-style band, and a lady came up to the bandstand at the break and asked why we were sitting to play. Without missing a beat, the leader said, "What's good enough for the symphony is good enough for us."<br class="">
