[Dixielandjazz] Eugene Wright RIP

[Robert Ringwald]

Eugene Wright, bassist with the Brubeck Quartet dead at 97. 

One of my all time favorite groups. I was lucky to see them live in a small nightclub setting at the Senator Hotel in Sacramento in around 1959 or so. I sat about 10 feet in front of the drums and got to meet all the guys. Later, after moving to Los Angeles, I got to know Eugene.
