Re:  Dr. Jazz vs. Charleston
Hello all--- enjoyed the repartee between  Andy Ling and Jim Kashishian.

So, I'll include a personal note.  Florida started selling "Vanity Tags" for
automobiles in the late '70s.
As a practicing physician ( gastroenterology) and jazzfan, of course, I
wanted "Dr. Jazz" for my vanity plate. I applied and they had slots of
alternative listing  and after" Dr. Jazz"  and listed "JazzDoc."  The latter
one was issued to me and I've been able to keep it since.

I did see the Florida  Dr. Jazz tag one time-- it was an auto driving on our
Pensacola Naval Air Station base.
Never saw it since, of course.

AS the Rev. Aimee Semple McPherson ( 1920s Los Angles evangelist) is
reported to have said:
( she disappeared for about 10 days and when she reappeared she told a cock
and bull story about having been kidnapped, taken to Mexico and miraculously
escaped-- In fact she'd been shacked up with one of her church employees)
"That's my story boys, and I'm stickin' to it!"
