Joe Wulf's passion is the traditional jazz, swing and blues of the 30s and
40s. 

On stage, the virtuoso trombonist revives the great jazz days of this time.

At concerts at home and abroad and at prestigious jazz festivals, he
enthuses his audience 

with sensitive arrangements of classical jazztitels and elaborate new
compositions. 

And above all: with its incomparably swinging sound!

 

Joe Wulf's masterful trombone technique and stylistic diversity have made
him internationally known as 

one of the most interesting trombonists of the present.

great American jazz clarinetist Buddy DeFranco 

at a jazz festival in Germany and Clark Terry added:

"Joe Wulf is a marvelous tromboneplayer, he has been a wonderful surprise to

The excellent musician, composer and arranger sees his great role models in

Jack Teagarden, Lawrence Brown, and Vic Dickenson.

 

In 1997, Joe Wulf was honored as the best trombonist and bandleader of the
year 

with the German specialist media prize.

 

In 2011 he was awarded the Artist of the Year award in the "Soloist"
