[Dixielandjazz] Decca disaster

To those of us who treasure the recordings of yesterday, this is a true
tragedy.  That said, I wonder why these masters weren't stored in a "Fort
Knox" vault to preclude such destruction? 

The next question is: how do other recording companies store their masters?

Unbelievable, but certainly not without precedent.
No mention is made of the also precious studio log books and recording
files.
