"Jonathan & Darlene Edwards" are indeed great fun, but you may have been misinformed.
'These guys' were singer Jo Stafford (who was classically trained) and husband pianist Billy Weston who, coincidentally, was involved in the creation of the South Rampart Street Paraders.
You have just resurrected an old DJML subject that will keep us busy for a day or two.
