Bob Ringwald, pianist, you'll find
Is much on everyone's mind.
His absence, and pain?,
And his illness remain
In our thoughts and our prayers entwined.

Subject: [Dixielandjazz] About Bob Ringwald.
Got your attention anyway, I'm sure!
I probably shouldn't really say this, but, apparently, (one of) Bob's snail
mail address(es) is available internetly speaking (I think; it is the
internet, after all), if anyone wants to go looking for it. (Q: Is anything
truly private these days? A: No.) I plan on writing him within the next
couple days. I honestly don't want to continue bugging his son-in-law
(Molly's husband), and only once, early on, did Bob reply via his wife's
email address, which, understandably, I haven't received a response from
since that only time. If I wasn't clear in what I just said, I fully
understand why that address has remained silent. It clearly was not, and
probably still ain't, a fun time (Molly's newspaper quotes at the time make
that all too apparent), and as I said yesterday in response to recent
queries, I'm sure Bob's still just resting up and re-gathering his strength
in order to do what he does all too well, as well as to keep us all in line.
I scour the internet frequently,
and there's no new news. And let's face it: that's a Good Thing (pace
Sellar and Yeatman) -- (if you know what I mean, considering how aged,
infirm, and generally decrepit he is overall; just trying to get a rise out
of him, if possible, in order to provide, at minimum, some well-deserved
entertainment from him to all of us who do, genuinely, continue to care, and
wonder).
"There once was a Ringwald named Bob,
Who never hesitated to hob-
Nob, with anyone who knew he'd sired The Molly, ... " (I am not a Poet, and
I Know It.)
Consider this the start of a Bob Ringwald Limerick Contest. (Keep it clean.
He is, after all, a delicate flower.)
M J (Mike) Logsdon.
