Checking out some of the videos Bill mentioned for early renditions of Blue 
Prelude (thanks, Bill, as usual for your complete report on the history of 
the tune!), I found this one:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oIK-YMURKs 
with Marilyn Scott on the vocal.  Love the chords on the piano.  Very tasty.

I definitely go for a ballad feel on this one, but as Bill said, it's all up 
to the performer.
