Keely Smith R.I.P.

Here is an ad for the legendary Paramount Theatre in NYC’s Times Square
dated December 20th, 1950. The new movie opening that day was Bing Crosby’s
“Mr. Music,” supported by a stage show topped by Louis Prima and His
Orchestra, followed by several lines of hype and then “introducing ‘Keely’
Smith.” That could have been her first appearance with Prima, and almost
certainly her Broadway debut. She would have been 22 years old at the time.
