Great news!
Many of you were disappointed to hear that our Bracklesham Bay festival was
cancelled due to the venue being sold. In a special gesture Richardsons,
 have graciously decided to put on a special weekend in recompense for
those who have been to the festival - and at a very, very attractive price,
which will not be repeated. This is a one off. Don't miss it. Press Release
Swinging Down Memory Lane – Trad Jazz and Swing  & Nostalgia Weekend
A fantastic, star studded weekend of sheer entertainment is promised when
Britain’s Ace Drummin’ Man, John Petters brings his ensemble of the finest
hot musicians in the land to Seacroft Holiday Village, Hemsby for the
Swinging Down Memory Lane Trad Jazz, Swing & Nostalgia Weekend 13th -16th
October.
On the bill will be such exciting shows as “Satchmo The Great” a
foot-stomping celebration of the legendary Louis Armstrong.
The King of Swing – Benny Goodman and American drumming legend Gene Krupa
will be remembered in “The Special Magic of Benny Goodman”.
“This Joint Is Jumpin’” celebrates the life and music of Fats Waller, the
larger than life pianist, vocalist and entertainer.
There will be a trip to the deep south with a special “New Orleans
Mardigras” session and the gangster crazy days of the American Prohibition,
Al Capone and Flapper Girls will be recalled in two presentations, “Chicago
and All That Jazz” and “The Roarin’ ‘20s Dance Party”.
“Swinging Down Memory Lane” will highlight the great American Songbook with
songs by Ella Fitzgerald, Bing Crosby, Hoagy Carmicahel and the great
composers, Gershwin, Porter and Berlin.
There’ll even be a spot of George Formby.
There will be a jazz quiz, a jazz lecture and much more fun in this three
day festival of fun.
Artistes scheduled to appear include International Clarinet star, Pete
Allen, world famous banjo / ukulele  virtuoso, Sean Moyses, former Acker
Bilk trombone star, Ian Bateman. Award winning saxophonist, Amy Roberts,
star vibraphonist and pianist, Colin Bray, legendary ex Alex Welsh
guitarist, Jim Douglas, Hot cornetist, Allen Beechey, piano professor,
Martin Litton, Chanteuse, Janice Day and many more.
The full board festival will be at the bargain price starting at just £129
