There are a lot of other good places in the Frenchmen - Bywater - Marigny
area - if you don't feel comfortable walking, take a cab!
There is no place in New Orleans that is crime-free but I have been going
there since 1980, walking through many areas of the city at all hours of
the day or night and never had any problems. Here is a website that lists
all of the spots in the area - not all are playing OKOM, but there are a
lot that come very close.
