Here link to story from Washington Times newspaper about sad state of jazz
scene in downtown Washington, DC.  Apologies for just sending link.  Website
wouldn't let me copy and paste.  Also of interest was statement of low pay
for jazz musicians ( won't be a shock or new to most of you).  There was
also statement that famed Blues Alley might close, and gave various reasons
including rising rental costs.
