Composed in 1918 --- recorded by many since, both as
vocals and instrumental jazz groups. Has an nice
introductory verse -- works well (I think) as medium
tempo swing. Somewhere along the way it has become
a "requirement" to play very fast choruses (cut time,
double time, or just plain fast) to follow the medium
tempo introduction of the melody. Sometimes the
extremely fast tempo is beyond the skill level of
the musicians. Be that as it may. Wondering who
first introduced the now traditional tempo speed up.
