Some time ago Feather was discussed on the list at some length, the
opinions being mostly negative.  The Jazzology people (not on the list)
even spoke about Feather's "hatred of jazz."
In his book "The Jazz Years" Feather mentioned organizing some Jack
Teagarden sessions.  At the time I did not remember that I had one from
1954, with Feather on piano.  While he certainly could not outplay Art Hodes
with one hand tied behind his back, as he claimed during the heydays of the
modern vs. mouldy fygges struggle, he could swing and did a good job in the
rhythm section (less so in solos).  I don't know about the other session.
