I don't know about the rest, but "Bogalusa Strut" (note the spelling)
probably was written by Sam Morgan. Morgan was a band leader on one of the
1920's and 1930's paddle wheel excursion boats on the Mississippi River. I
have heard, but can't prove, that Morgan gave a young Armstrong a job, which
forced Armstrong to learn to read music proficiently.

Bogalusa is a town on the Pearl River which forms the lower border between
Louisiana and Mississippi. If you have ever been in, near, or just downwind
of Bogalusa, you will never forget the stench of its paper mill.

A library has hired our group to do a trad jazz concert in May, and the
library M.C. has requested a bit of information for just a portion of the
songs we are playing. As an M.C., I guess he doesn’t have enough jokes, so
he’s stuck with having to supply some factual information...

(You know, the kind of snippets that band leaders often say about tunes just
before the band plays them….)

1919 Rag
Mecca Flat Blues
Just a Little While to Stay Here
Boogalusa Strut
New Orleans Shuffle.
